Selah Counseling Seattle was created with the goal to invite you to pause and reflect on your life. In our busy worlds we rarely stop to notice ourselves, the ways we automatically respond in our relationships, and the stress our body carries until something breaks and becomes insurmountable.
At Selah Counseling, space is created for you to become an active rather than reactive participant in your life; where you learn to understand yourself - your past and current relationships - so you can be free in the present.
About Me
I grew up in Nigeria, West Africa and moved to the US in 2003 to attend college. I graduated from Calvin College (Grand Rapids, MI) in 2007 with my BA in Psychology, and from Eastern University (St. David’s, PA) in 2012 with my MA in Clinical & Community Counseling. I have practiced in community outpatient clinics in Philadelphia, Mt. Vernon, WA and most recently in Seattle working as a clinical & administrative supervisor at Therapeutic Health Services in the youth & family branch. I have also taught in the Psychology departments at Whatcom Community College (Bellingham, WA) and Highline College (Des Moines, WA).
Outside of my therapy practice, I enjoy running, yoga, spending time with my active toddler, drinking coffee, listening to podcasts, traveling, and laughing with my partner while watching SNL skits.
