About me

Hi, I'm Lydia.

I grew up in Nigeria and later made the U.S. home, which means I’ve spent a lot of time listening to different stories and learning how people find their footing. That curiosity led me into counseling and into work across community clinics, courts, and family services, as well as teaching in college psychology programs. What matters most to me now is offering a space that feels grounded, honest, and deeply attuned —somewhere you can exhale and be met with real care.

Many of the clients I work with feel overly responsible for others, deep shame or uncontrollabe anxiety. They describe anxiety that won’t quiet down, stress that follows them home, or patterns in relationships that seem to repeat. Most are looking for steadier days and clearer choices. If you want to feel like yourself and relate to the people you love without the constant second-guessing, this is the space for you.

We’ll move at your pace. We’ll make room for what’s hard right now and trace it to the patterns underneath, then practice small, practical steps to help you feel more resourced & stable. My approach is trauma-informed and integrative; I utilize EMDR, Ego State Therapy & Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) to target relational & expilict trauma to help you be more present in your life now.

Outside of session, I love running, lifting weights, coffee walks, podcasts and audiobooks, travel, and laughing at a good SNL sketch. I have a 4 year old daughter & husband. If my story resonates, I’d be honored to connect and learn what support would feel most helpful right now.
